KPMG´s Audit Committee Institute
The economic crisis has triggered a drastic increase in market volatility which greatly limits the ability to forecast companies' development over the coming years and presents an additional challenge to the audit committees of boards of directors. This takes on special significance as they try to strike a balance between the strategy and business model on the one hand and, on the other, the financial risks associated with them. KPMG's Audit Committee Institute is a top-notch platform that focuses on providing board members an opportunity to exchange experiences on hot topics that fall within audit committees' area of responsibility.
Philipp Hallauer, member of KPMG Switzerland's Executive Committee and head of the Audit Committee Institute, talks in an interview about the current challenges for board of directors' audit committees.
The Swiss Code of Best Practice assigns a crucially important role to board committees. Three non-executive committees are specified, one of which is the audit committee.
KPMG is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Our centennial portal „Growth Generator" provides additional information to our corporate history, to our activities and to a number of events we organize in this context.
